Everspan Group, a US specialty property and casualty insurance platform owned by Octave Specialty Group, has appointed three senior executives as the company continues to develop its leadership team in support of its long-term growth strategy.
The company has confirmed that David A. Kenyon joined as Head of Reinsurance on 31 July. Bevan Greibesland is scheduled to take up the position of Chief Underwriting Officer on 10 August, while Forest Clay Stewart will join as Chief Operating Officer on 17 August. Each of the appointments will report directly to Darwin Lucas, President of Everspan Group.
According to Everspan, the additions introduce separate executive oversight for underwriting and reinsurance, functions that were previously managed within a single leadership role. The company said the revised structure is intended to support the next stage of its expansion.
“As we execute our plans to grow and expand Everspan’s portfolio, we are investing in the leadership and specialized capabilities needed to support that growth,” Lucas commented. “Clay, Bevan and David bring deep expertise in their respective areas, and their addition will strengthen our ability to scale the business while maintaining the underwriting discipline, strong partnerships, and operational focus that are central to our strategy.”
Everspan said Kenyon joins with more than 25 years of experience in insurance and reinsurance. Prior to joining the business, he was responsible for reinsurance placement and operations at Zurich North America. His career has also included senior positions at Swiss Reinsurance America, GE Global Insurance and Kemper National Insurance Company. He will work from Chicago.
Greibesland brings more than two decades of experience in programme business, delegated authority and specialty underwriting, according to Everspan. She previously led the US delegated authority and specialty businesses at HDI Global. Earlier roles include serving as Chief Underwriting Officer at Blitz Insurance, as well as senior underwriting positions with Global Indemnity and Nationwide. She will be based in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Stewart joins Everspan with 20 years of experience spanning operations, technology and business transformation across the insurance and financial services industries. Before joining the company, he served as Vice President, Target Operating Model Leader and Principal Product Owner at Chubb. His earlier career included positions with Deloitte and SEI. He will be based across New York and Philadelphia.
