MSIG Hong Kong Appoints Billy Wong as Powerful New CUOWong has been tasked with leading the Underwriting Department and Specialty Lines to further strengthen underwriting capabilities, enhance portfolio performance, and deliver greater value to MSIG customers and business partners.

The executive brings nearly two decades of insurance experience spanning retail and commercial lines to his new position, having extensive expertise in underwriting, portfolio management, pricing, reinsurance, and product development.

Over the course of his career, he has successfully led teams, strengthened underwriting discipline, and driven sustainable business growth throughout Hong Kong and Greater China.

Wong is joining MSIG Hong Kong following an eight-year tenure at AXA, having most recently served as Chief Underwriting Officer, General Insurance – AXA Hong Kong & Macau.

He initially joined AXA in 2018 as Head of Property Underwriting, Greater China – AXA XL, he was then appointed Head of P&C Technical Underwriting – AXA Hong Kong & Macau, and later became P&C Technical Underwriting Director within the same team.

Wong’s career also includes tenures at Zurich, and Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty.
